Microneedling
Microneedling is a state of the art medical device, made up of tiny little needles. This treatment is only available through trained professionals and is based on fractional collagen induction therapy, the procedure where the bodies natural response to healing is used to increase the amount of extra cellular matrix (such as collagen and elastin) in the skin. Excellent for: Skin rejuvenation and tightening, Acne scarring ,Stretch marks ,Traumatic scars ,Fine lines and wrinkles.
Patients who undergo this treatment may notice some results straight away including a glowing and healthier looking skin. However, remodelling collagen within the skin takes time so a course of 6 treatments six weeks apart is recommended. Straight after the treatment the skin will take on a reddish appearance. This erythema significantly reduces in the first 4 hours and usually disappears within 24 hours. Advanced aftercare products (Medik8) are applied and home-care is advised for maximum results.
Extractions
Comedones (blackheads) are the most common reason for extraction. A blackhead is not necessarily "dirt in the pores" as many people think. It is a pore that has become clogged with excess sebum and dead skin cells. Skin is steamed then a manual extraction is done.
